Photographs by Abed Abidat
Pictures of streets, people, moods...
Isography is a neologism invented by the artist, it means "same picture". Abed Abidat repeatedly shot the same picture at different moments, yet the background, the landscape, the frame stay the same (streets, marckets, train stations, cars...). The artist didn't look for a subject, he waited for it to come. Movement is created with a succession of photographs.
9 to 36 pictures are reunited on a single big panel, 30 panels constitute a whole series. Isographies invites the viewer to discover the world while standing still.
